Important: If you are shipping 110V equipment from the U.S., confirm that properly sized transformers will be available on site, or plan for multi-voltage (auto-ranging) equipment where appropriate. Relying on simple plug adapters can lead to equipment damage and voided warranties.
3. Environmental Factors: Light, Acoustics, and Temperature
The physical environment directly affects AV system performance. A complete site survey should document conditions that impact both installation and end-user experience.
Lighting:
- Types of fixtures installed (LED, fluorescent, daylight contribution)
- Window placement and solar exposure
- Lighting control availability (dimmers, blackout shades, motorized blinds)
- Reflections and glare on screens and displays
